Current statistics from The 1512 Registry as of today
WELL KIDS... With the dedicated
help from the members of the registry, we have made it to 354 vin numbers documented. Sadly not all documented cars are still around today. The chart below is the currently known status of the HURST SC/Ramblers as they are today. It is interesting to see how many of these low production cars, actually still support their original paint and even how many SC/Ramblers are still in the hands of their original owners.
1158 remain undocumented and unless found will be presumed gone from our streets forever.
The stats on owning one of these cars today, well there are approximately 350,000,000 people between Canada and the USA, and there were only 1,512 of these Hurst SC/Rambler factory race cars made for NHRA F Stock class in mid-year of 1969.
WOW…and if we assume that only about 500 has survived then we are looking at odds that only 1 out of every 2 million or so people will ever have the opertunity to own or drive one of these rare factory racecars.
